Professional Officer Level 5 | $119,876 - $135,380 per annum plus super

About the role 

Diocese of Toowoomba Catholic Schools is looking for an innovative, experienced and forward thinking communications and public relations specialist.

This new role will be focussed on ensuring that communication and public relations activities of Toowoomba Catholic Schools are planned, implemented and evaluated to ensure maximum value add and will have responsibilities that include

  • undertaking strategic co-design processes with Toowoomba Catholic Schools Office Services and schools/colleges to build awareness and promote initiatives and achievements with target audiences
  • contributing to the planning, facilitation and management of corporate events and activities that incorporate contemporary stakeholder engagement and technology options
  • leading the development of high quality, relevant and audience-focused written content such as web pages, reports, speeches, newsletters, executive materials and briefing notes
  • undertaking detailed analysis and reporting on stakeholder engagement and communications performance across all platforms using a variety of analytical tools
  • building strong engagement with staff across Toowoomba Catholic Schools Office Services and schools/colleges using a range of communication modes and media

  • demonstrated high level experience in designing, implementing and evaluating communications and public relations, stakeholder engagement and marketing plans
  • demonstrated experience in writing high level strategic communications as well as tailoring communications to meet the needs of differing stakeholders
  • demonstrated experience in identifying and using a contemporary media mix to reach specific target audiences
  • demonstrated high level skills in collaboration and communication across a range of stakeholders
  • empathy with the Catholic ethos and values
