Salary: $82,210 - $104,637 (based on skills and experience)

Catholic Education, Canberra & Goulburn (CECG) plays an integral role in education both in the ACT and NSW, covering 88,000 square kilometres covering the whole of the ACT and extending from Pambula on the south coast, to Crookwell in the North, through to Lake Cargelligo in the West. Operating 56 Schools and 8 Early Learning Centres, with over 21,000 students across the Archdiocese and employing over 2,100 professionals.

About the Role

The role of the Communications and Web Content Officer is to undertake a diverse range of communication activities, including developing engaging online content. In the role you will work in collaboration with stakeholders and content owners in providing advice and support to deliver on the communication objectives of CECG.

About you

We are seeking a dynamic professional who is passionate about communication, writing and stakeholder engagement. You’ll have experience in web content development. You’ll be a highly driven individual who has seen results in previous positions and will bring that experience to strengthen the service offering.

Essential Criteria

  • Exceptional, demonstrated, written communication skills. Evidence of writing will be required at interview.
  • Established knowledge and experience in communications and online web and intranet content development. Recent experience in a similar level role within a complex organisation or within a marketing and communications firm including provision of timely advice to key internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated expertise in website content management and maintenance - ideally with a working knowledge of WordPress and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated expertise in web analytics including use of AdWords etc.
  • Excellent oral communication and negotiation skills including the ability to proactively engage and work with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels. This includes coordinating events and external suppliers.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing small to medium projects within the marketing and communications field.
  • Commitment to supporting the values of the Catholic Education Office.
