Grade E -SCP 11-16 - £21,748 - £24,012 FTE
(to be pro rated due to position be term time only + 2 weeks)
The successful candidate is required to commence as soon as possible.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed, hardworking and able person to the role of Communications Officer & Administration Assistant at Longdendale High School. You will be responsible for promoting all aspects of positive news stories for the school through social media platforms and other medias and within the local community alongside managing, organising and reporting the daily cover for absent staff. You will also be expected to support the Senior Leadership Team to provide a professional, efficient and effective administrative service.
The role will involve working closely with staff and students and duties will include administration tasks, involving the use of various computerised packages. As well as working effectively as a team, the ability to work independently and using your own initiative is essential. Appropriate skills and knowledge for this role is essential. Experience in a similar role within a school environment, would be desirable however full training will be provided. Attention to detail and having the ability to carry out all duties in line with school expectations and policies are all qualities, which are essential.

Due to the nature of organising cover within a school environment, Hours of work are to be 36 hours per week: 7.30am-3.15pm (including 30 minute unpaid lunch break) Monday-Thursday and 7.30am-3.00pm (including 30 minute unpaid lunch break) on a Friday
