12 hours per week. Salary: NJC Scale G £18,746 - £20, 661 pro rata

On 1st September, Wren Spinney Community Special School and Isebrook SEN College joined together to form the Creating Tomorrow Multi Academy Trust – the beginning of a new era for the education of young people with special educational needs and disability in Kettering and the surrounding areas of North Northamptonshire.

We are now looking for someone to join our team to be our company secretary and to provide full administrative support to both the trustees and member of the MAT and Isebrook's local governing body.

You should have a thorough understanding of the laws that affect school academies and multi academy trusts, and will be responsible for ensuring that the Trustees and Governors are aware of and comply with standard financial and legal practice and maintain standards of corporate governance.

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, has a desire and willingness to learn and has a positive and proactive approach to their work. Previous experience as a clerk to a public body would be advantageous.

As clerk, you will organise and attend 4 x termly meetings of the Trust board and its sub-committees (24 meetings per year) and 6 local Governing Body meetings per year (depending on the MAT and / or school business there may be additional meetings).

Meetings are typically held early evening but timing could vary.
