Computer Science Lead Teacher
From: 1st September 2018
Salary + TLR 2b (outer Londond £4,446)
We are seeking to appoint from September 2018 an enthusiastic and committed teacher of Computer Science who can modernise the curriculum and bring the teaching of Computer Science into Key Stage 3. Whilst there is no formal teaching of GCSE and A Level Computer Science at the moment there could be the possibility of teaching GCSE and A Level to groups after school in the first instance. Therefore, the candidate would need to be prepared to be flexible in terms of hours. For example, to teach after school until 5pm, then the successful candidate may commence their teaching day at 10am. The hours would reflect national pay and conditions, with the start and finish time to be negotiated.
We are also looking for someone who could work with our support ICT Team to develop ICT within the classroom. An ability to teach Business Studies would also be advantageous.
ICT is thriving and well-resourced with the school and the successful applicant would be responsible for leading and growing the provision throughout the school. ICT is currently taught at KS3 delivering essential skills to enable students to achieve their ambition across the ICT and computing disciplines. OFSTED rated our provision as “Outstanding” in the 2008 reduced tariff inspection which built on our “Excellent” rating which we had already received in the 2005 Full Inspection.
