We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher or an established IT practitioner who will relish the chance to advise on the expansion of the IT curriculum across the schools and to introduce Computer Science A level into our large and thriving sixth form of 400 students.
In the first instance the successful candidate will teach ICT to Y7 at both Stamford School and Stamford High School. He/she will plan the expansion of the IT curriculum into Y8 and Y9 as well as the introduction of Computer Science A level in Sep 2018. For the first year in the role, he/she may be asked to teach a second subject pending the increase in IT teaching the following year.
The successful applicant will work with our e-learning co-ordinators to encourage and support the appropriate use of IT in teaching and learning. The successful candidate will offer training to colleagues in the use of Office 365 applications in particular MS Classroom and OneNote.
This new role could suit an experienced teacher or an enthusiastic IT expert who could undertake their teaching qualification within this role. A successful appointee could see the role grow into the leadership of a department and/or working with senior staff on teaching and learning.
