Job overview

Computing Subject Leader

Required for September 2021

MPS (Inner London) + TLR2A

We are looking for an exceptional class teacher and subject leader to lead computing across the school. This is an ideal opportunity for an excellent teacher to further their leadership skills whilst developing forward thinking and outstanding use of technology for the future.

This role could attract a Phase Leader position for the candidate with the right skills and experience.

The role of computing lead at Albion is flexible:  the successful candidate may be teaching computing throughout the school as a PPA teacher or be a classroom-based teacher with a curriculum responsibility for computing.

Albion Primary School is a happy, inclusive and creative school where children and staff thrive and where innovation, initiative and creativity are encouraged. Our children are exceptional and keen to learn and all members of the school community are valued.

We are looking for a leader to drive our vision of embedding computing into everyday lessons. Albion has invested in technology to facilitate the effective delivery of our computing vision: over 200 Chromebooks purchased to build on existing number of Ipads and laptops ensuring every child has access to a device; smartboards and visualisers in every classroom; robots to bring coding to life and a radio studio where children can broadcast over the radio waves to their peers.

If you are a highly motivated teacher with a passion for ensuring children learn and achieve, if you work hard and have the drive and energy to make a difference to children’s learning, then this is the school for you!

Why would you want to work as a leader at Albion?

We offer:

• Well behaved children who have a love of learning and of our school

• A place where one can grow their leadership within computing

• A friendly and supportive staff team with high morale who all champion children's well-being

• A very well resourced and attractive environment

• A strong ethos of high expectations and challenge for all of our community

• A really exciting connected curriculum with particular emphasis on outdoor learning, music and the arts

• Excellent professional development and career enhancement opportunities

• Skilled teaching assistant support in each class

• Excellent induction and a support programme for all teachers new to the school
