Outwood Academy Redcar has recently become part of the Outwood Grange Academies Trust. Since working with the Trust our results have more than doubled and we are now second in the Local Authority for progress. In short, this is an exceptional place to build your future, whether you are a student keen to learn or a teacher determined to progress. Our hard-working community is welcoming and friendly; students and staff make excellent progress together, here on the beautiful North Yorkshire coast.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work effectively under pressure, also the necessary experience and knowledge of issues affecting students and young people and how to offer supportive assistance. Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths at grade C or equivalent is an essential criteria.
You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘Students First’.
We believe that all teaching and support staff posts within our Family of Schools are key posts in terms of supporting student success and achievement across a broad range of subjects and experiences. As such we are keen to recruit dedicated and ambitious professionals who will add value to our Academy in both academic terms and through involvement in the fabric of learning and success beyond the classroom.
Outwood Academy Redcar places students at the centre of everything it does, with a focus on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning, and increased student attainment, achievement and social and emotional development.
As a member of our existing Inclusion team, you will support learning through the use of data, strategic intervention and monitoring in order to maximise student attainment.
In line with the Government’s announcement, our academy is open from 8 March with social distancing measures in place. In place of academy-based interviews, we have set up systems to ensure that alternative options are still available via skype/video conferencing wherever possible. Every effort will be made to try and accommodate any specific requirements so that no-one is at a disadvantage.
Understandably, visits to the school are not possible at present, however we are really keen to ensure that you have as much information to proceed with your application as possible, so if you would like a conversation about either the academy or the position please contact Dan Harrison, Inclusion Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to assist.
For more information and to apply online, please go to: www.outwood.com > careers.
Please use the person specification document when completing your application.
