Rodbaston & Tamworth campus

£21,402 to £23,382 per annum (pro-rata for part time)

South Staffordshire College require two dedicated and enthusiastic Instructors to

support our growing construction provision.  Both roles are part time (0.5FTE). One instructor will deliver on our plumbing programmes and one will deliver on our carpentry and bench joinery programmes.

In addition to delivering and assessing the practical elements of the respective programmes; the successful applicants will also have duties relating to the development of our college construction provision. They will also be involved with many offsite projects and visits as well as supporting work placement activity with our learners.

The successful applicant will take an active role in the learner recruitment process and in helping to run promotional events to raise the profile of our construction provision.

Essential qualifications for this role include relevant industrial / trade qualifications to at least level 2 and  relevant experience within either the plumbing or carpentry/bench joinery industry. 

Desirable qualifications include teaching and assessor awards.  If you don’t have these desirable qualifications and you are successful in gaining the post you will be expected to undertake these in a reasonable time frame, for which the college will support you.
