Coordinator/ Lecturer in Motor Vehicle  Full Time 37 hours per week – Fixed term contract for 1 year  Automatic Entry to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS)  42 days holiday for the year  Based at the St Albans Campus

We have an opportunity to recruit either a Coordinator or Lecturer in Motor Vehicle, please note there are different salary bandings for the two roles.

The successful candidate would be required to coordinate and teach on a range of Motor Vehicle programmes ranging from level 1 up until level 3.

Coordinator – Salary banding - £30,957 - £34,847 per annum – Depending on Experience  The successful candidate will have a level 3 Motor Vehicle qualification and hold a level 5 teaching qualification, previous teaching assessing experience and the delivery of functional skills maths & English is preferred.

Lecturer – Salary banding £24,443 - £27,501 per annum – Depending on Experience  The successful candidate will have a level 3 Motor Vehicle qualification, and 3 years relevant industry experience in the subject. Teacher training will be provided as part of the Lecturer role.

The applicant should have a strong commitment to high standards of classroom practice and experience of teaching, or working with young people. An assessor qualification is desirable but not essential. You will have a genuine regard for young people and want to work with us to ensure that all our students aspire to do well. You will demonstrate and professional standards in your area of work. The ability to work in a team is essential, sharing good practice and working collaboratively with colleagues are qualities that we will be looking for.
