Brighouse High School is a successful and oversubscribed comprehensive school. We are seeking to appoint a SENCO with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities will encompass leading all aspects of our SEND provision throughout the school. The post holder will manage the work of a dedicated and committed team of Additional Needs Assistants, whilst also building and maintaining effective working relationships with all support and teaching staff. The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations, someone who can continue to promote a culture of inclusion. They will lead relevant INSET to develop materials and strategies for effective differentiated provision throughout the curriculum.
In March 2017, OFSTED recognised that we are a school which has high expectations and is uncompromising in working to meet the needs of individual pupils. Inspectors reported that “there is a strong sense of ‘togetherness’ across the school” and that pupils “feel part of a caring school community that is fully inclusive with a trusting ethos. Pupils feel valued as learners”.
Deadline for receipt of applications: Friday 27th April at 12 noon
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
