Scale: Grade 8, Points 31 - 34 (£30,756 - £33,136)

Pro Rata Salary: £12,851.64 - £13,846.00 (Actual Salary)

Hours: 18 hours per week, term time only plus 3 Teacher Days. 41.79% of full time.  

We are seeking to appoint a confident, caring and organised person to join our team in the role of a Counsellor. The successful candidate will be expected to address the needs of individual children who need to help to overcome a crisis of trauma thus reducing barriers to learning.  

As a valued member of the Student Support Team the post holder will be committed to the students and college life, will possess the ability to communicate effectively and be able to raise the standards of learning for all of the students that they are required to work with. 

The post holder will need to use engagement techniques in order to reach young people to improve their participation in the curriculum.

Candidates should pay attention to the person specification and explain within their application how they meet the criteria, whilst also describing what they will bring to the post from their own knowledge, experience and understanding of supporting vulnerable children in a college setting.
