Would you like to be at the forefront of delivering one of our A-Level qualifications equipping young people for university and their next steps in life? If so, we would love to hear from you.

You will be a Course Manager and Lecturer for the A Level Computer Science qualification and will enhance an already high achieving computer science and digital team whose students consistently achieve excellent grades and successfully progress onto employment, apprenticeships or to study at Higher Education.

A Level 4 qualification in an IT related subject is an essential requirement and if you have the technical expertise and experience in teaching and learning but don’t yet hold a teaching qualification, we will support you with this.

You will be committed to achieving excellent outcomes and the highest standards of personal performance whilst working towards agreed performance targets.  You will also work a part of a team, have a positive attitude, and enjoy learning and being creative.

Contractual Details

Rate of Pay or Salary: £28,287 - £36,723 per annum

Working Time: 828 hours per annum of teaching and equivalent professional duties over 198 days, for full time posts and pro rata for part time posts.  You will be expected to be on site for 34 hours per week pro rata during the whole academic year.

Contract Type: Permanent

Pension: Teachers’ Pension Scheme 

Leave entitlement: 38 days per year plus bank holidays (pro-rated for part time) plus additional discretionary days at Christmas.

Strode College is a further education establishment for students aged 16 to 19, providing vocational qualifications, A-levels, and the new T-levels as well as providing degree-level qualifications.  We are based in the town of Street, in Somerset and were labelled “outstanding” in the latest Ofsted report.
