Strode College is a tertiary college located in Street on a well-resourced modern campus.

The college works with 1,600 16-18 year olds, 90% of whom are studying advanced level programmes, as well as 2,500 adult students and 250 apprentices. Strode College was judged ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in September 2014.

To teach academic and personal skills to a group of former advanced level students to ensure their continued engagement with education and prepare them for a mainstream advanced level study programme or for an apprenticeship.

Strode College is a further education establishment for students aged 16 to 19, providing vocational qualifications, A-levels, and the new T-levels as well as providing degree-level qualifications.  We are based in the town of Street, in Somerset and were labelled “outstanding” in the latest Ofsted report.

The high quality of teaching, alongside exceptionally strong pastoral and academic support, enables the vast majority of students to make excellent progress. Teachers and assessors have very high and realistic, expectations for all students, which lead to the high level of students’ achievement across the college.

Staff at the college provide a welcoming and safe environment for students in which they feel valued and respected; they enjoy life at the college and are proud of its history. The curriculum is well planned to meet the needs of students and the local economy.”
