Job overview

HCUC (Harrow College and Uxbridge College) is the largest college provider of apprenticeships in West London.  Our new Technical Apprenticeship School (TAS) focuses on maximising our links and opportunities with employers in key sectors, encompassing automotive, building services, digital and engineering and ensuring successful apprenticeship provision and future growth.  

Reporting to the Engineering Apprenticeship Standards Manager, you will be responsible for driving forward the quality of Computing Work Based Learning within the Technical Apprenticeship School (TAS).  You will teach across a range of programmes according to your specialism and will be responsible for the effective curriculum management of a range of apprenticeship programmes in School.  

You will possess a degree or equivalent in Computing/IT with an advanced level teaching qualification (DET or equivalent), and have at least 2 years’ teaching experience in the relevant subject area.  You will also have good knowledge of Work Based Learning pathways (apprenticeships and standards), together with experience of computer networking and will be familiar or have certification in at least one of the following: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Cloud Fundamentals.
