This is an exciting time to join the founding team of a brand-new school, Trinity Academy Leeds as it continues to grow and develop. Trinity Academy Leeds opened its doors in September 2021 to 240 students from across the city and has already established a strong culture of excellence where all staff are united under the same shared mission, to enrich and strengthen the life choices and chances of the young people in east Leeds and beyond. Our school is now in its fourth year and currently has 968 students on roll and is heavily oversubscribed for the following year. We had our first Ofsted inspection in May 2024 and achieved 'outstanding in all areas.

We are now seeking a Cover and Student Support Officer to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other support staff to enhance the development and education of students.  This role would suit a highly motivated, positive, and flexible individual who is considering a teaching career in the future.  You may be employed as a Cover Supervisor looking for the next stage in your career, be a qualified teacher looking for further experience in schools or you may be seeking a new challenge with a willingness to learn new skills.

We would provide you with full training and the opportunity to take relevant CPD courses.  As a growing school, there are valuable opportunities for development and promotion in the future.  We strongly advise you to come for a tour of our school and to meet the team!

What can we offer you?

·        Full support from a dedicated team of senior leaders and a large pastoral team

·        A first-class behaviour for learning system

·        Excellent teaching resources

·        Career progression and cross-trust working

·        An excellent CPD package for all staff

·        A range of staff benefits including access to the West Yorkshire Pension fund, health scheme and cycle to work scheme

What are we looking for?

·        Educated to A-Level standard with GCSEs (or equivalent) at C or better, in English and Maths or equivalent working experience.

·        Experience of leading groups of whole classes (students 11-16)

·        Experience of assessing student progress and contributing to assessment processes

You must be fully committed to optimising the opportunities that are available to children and young people, secure in the knowledge that you will be joining an ambitious forward-thinking Academy Trust that sets the standards for our family of schools and academies.

Closing Date:                8am, Wednesday 2 April 2025

Interviews:                     To be confirmed

Start Date:                     To be discussed at interview
