Hours:               33.5 hours per week x 39 weeks per year

Salary/Grade:       Grade D, scale pt 8 - 14 (£20,493 - £23,080 fte per annum)

Actual Salary:       £15,934 - £17,945 per annum

Job Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking to appoint a skilled, enthusiastic, dynamic and inspirational Cover Supervisor to assist the cover team and support our young people.  Your main responsibility will be to provide cover for classes, supervising and delivering pre-prepared learning activities and cover whole classes in the absence of the teacher as directed by the Cover Coordinator. You will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with a desire to promote and develop children's learning and confidence.

This is a very rewarding role where you will be able to develop strong working relationships with children.  Graduates who have an interest in pursuing a future career in teaching or individuals who have previous experience of working with children will be particularly suited to this role.  


This role will include:

• To proactively support the learning of students in class by explaining, reading, clarifying work and encouraging successful completion of tasks

• To ensure students are actively engaged and learning in cover lessons

• To provide feedback to the appropriate teacher regarding the learning activities
