Job overview

Are you passionate about inspiring children from all backgrounds to achieve their full potential? Are you looking for a role where every day is different, where you get to work with a wide range of people and where you’ll be encouraged to develop your professional skills? Whether you are looking for the first step, or next step, in your career, come and find out why joining Northern Ambition could be a great move.

Our ethos is children first and we’re here to transform the lives of children, many from hugely disadvantaged backgrounds. Working in our schools can be challenging, but hugely rewarding in terms of the difference you can make to children’s futures. We are driven by our values of Respect, Ambition and Bravery for all our young people and to help them transition into life as responsible members of the community.

The successful candidate will provide supervision of students at secondary school level  along with delivering cover lessons for absent teachers. As cover supervisor you will need to uphold standards of behaviour in the classroom and on the corridors. In addition to cover needs, there will also be a requirement to work alongside existing staff in specific curriculum areas providing general support for departments. This is a critical role in supporting the day-to-day running of the school.

We’re situated in the former industrial heartland of Yorkshire, close to the junction of the M62 and A1 and its transport links. The Trust currently comprises four schools across the primary and secondary phases, with plans for future growth and the opportunities that brings.

Airedale Academy itself is a good school, with solid finances and rising pupil numbers over the next few years. Talk to our staff or pupils and you’ll find out how proud we are of our school, its supportive atmosphere and strong team ethos.

We believe in investing in our staff too, so we offer an extensive programme of school and Trust CPD, helping you continue to develop as an excellent practitioner.  Our wellbeing programme includes a range of benefits including break-time refreshments, access to fitness facilities including a gym and weekly yoga, visits by a car valet company, as well as regular staff social events.

We love showing people round, and encourage interested candidates to visit and see what makes us great! Contact the HR team on 01977 664555 and we’ll make the arrangements.
