Job overview

The Governors of this well-established caring Roman Catholic school are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor and Sports Coach. 

You will be involved in delivering pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the Teacher, motivating and enabling students to progress in their learning and managing behaviour in line with school policy. The successful candidate will have high expectations with the ability to create a positive learning environment for all students to achieve. We are looking for a team player, who can work successfully in collaboration with others and contribute towards the school ethos. 

For the right candidate a commitment to supporting after school practices and fixtures is desirable. The role may involve working with a variety of sports teams during practices with an ability to coach a team as well as to support the PE department with Saturday fixtures. 

The role is an excellent opportunity for someone to gain experience in a school before potentially applying to train as a teacher. 

We expect all staff to contribute to the Christian ethos, which is the cornerstone of St Peter’s.

About St Peter's RC High School and Sixth Form Centre

St Peter's Roman Catholic High School and Sixth Form Centre is a mixed, Roman Catholic academy secondary school and sixth form for pupils aged 11-18. It is located in Tuffley, Gloucester and has approximately 1,600 pupils.

The school was established in 1964 and converted to academy status in 2011.
