Sir William Stanier School is looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students. The position is offered on a permanent basis, term time plus inset days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Supervision: Oversee entire classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Lesson Delivery: Teach various subjects using the plans provided by the class teacher.
- Student Engagement: Ensure students stay focused on their tasks and complete their work.
- Learning Environment: Maintain a productive and positive classroom atmosphere.
- In-Class Support: Assist students with questions and provide support to small groups or individuals.
- Student Support: Offer guidance and assistance to students both inside and outside the classroom.
Requirements:
- A strong interest in working with students aged 11-16.
- Ideally, experience working with this age group.
- Minimum education level of GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English.

Salary: FTE £30,560 - £33,368
Pro rata: £23,161 - £25,289
