Hours:                   40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, term time only)

Underley Garden seeks an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor who can inspire children and young people with complex learning through a highly personalised curriculum. Our children and young people need engaging, creative, practical learning and so delivering staff need the ability to thrive in a flexible curriculum structure and fully utilise our fantastic facilities to offer personalised programmes.


Delivering staff at UG are encouraged to take a creative approach, seeking ways to positively engage with and motivate all children and young people through sessions that promote learning as well as offer experiences, develop independence and promote life skills.


This Cover Supervisor position covers the planning and delivery of lessons to all of the children and young people who attend UG when the teacher is absent as well as covering Teaching Assistants when they are absent.


About us:


The young people who attend Underley Garden all have an EHCP. Underley Garden meets the needs of a range of SEN including; Autism, Learning Difficulties, Mental Health & Medical needs and related behavioural difficulties.


For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to children, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. As part of Outcomes First Group we are leading our sector in setting and delivering new approaches that provide measurable outcomes for those in our care.


Who we are looking for


The enthusiastic Cover Supervisor who can work in a creative way to positively affect the lives of young people and enrich our curriculum through meeting the needs of our physical education. Qualified to degree level with QTS/QTLS and above.
