The de Ferrers Trust is a Multi Academy Trust comprising three Secondary Academies and four Primary Academies, currently based in Staffordshire and Derbyshire.

The Role

We offer an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join the cover team.

You will work under an agreed system of supervision to supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher. Under the guidance of teaching/senior staff, you will implement work programmes, manage student behaviour and assist students in relevant activities in line with the Academy’s policies and procedures. 

To be successful, you will be professional, understanding and have a can-do attitude. You will also demonstrate a good understanding of areas of learning and social/emotional needs of students.

You should also possess NVQ level 3 or above for Teaching Assistant.
