South Hunsley is a very large, heavily over-subscribed secondary school with over 2100 students on roll, including 430 in the sixth form. In each of the last 3 years, our Progress 8 figure has been in the range of +0.49 to +0.59 and we have won the Pupil Premium Award for Yorkshire and the Humber in 2 of the last 4 years. Our sixth form goes from strength to strength and this summer we were placed in the top 10% of providers according to ALPS. We have an outstanding programme of personal development and extra-curricular activities and in 2016 we were rated as the third best state school for sport.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Cover Team. You will play a vital role in helping us continue to drive up standards by supervising classes in the absence of a teacher and undertaking duties to support the teaching and learning in subject areas, to be determined dependent on your area of expertise. You will be required to work an additional 5 days per year for training and development.
