Cover Supervisor

We wish to appoint an energetic, resourceful and flexible individual to work under the guidance of the Senior Cover Supervisor and senior staff, within an agreed system of lesson supervision, to implement work programmes with individuals/groups in or out of the classroom, including the supervision of whole classes during the short term absence of teachers.

Successful candidates should be outgoing, confident and supportive, with good interpersonal skills. The ability to form positive relationships with young people with excellent classroom management skills. To support all students, enabling them to access the social and academic curriculum in the most effective way, appropriate to their needs and understanding.

There is a strong ethos of teamwork and support throughout the school and a commitment to continuing professional development. As part of our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children you will be required to undertake a criminal record check via the Criminal Records Bureau and enhanced disclosures.

Scale: H5 £27,357 - £29,214 (£23,292 - £24,874 pro rata)

Actual Starting Salary:  £23,292

Hours: 36hpw 8am – 3.45pm term-time only

Start Date: Position available immediately
