Trinity Academy is the outstanding flagship school in Trinity Multi-Academy Trust. We are a growing Multi-Academy Trust, our Executive Principal is a National Leader of Education and we are the lead school in the Trinity Teaching School Alliance and White Rose Maths Hub.

Trinity Academy is the model of excellence for the growing number of academies and free schools joining the trust. The team behind the success at Trinity are working to help those joining our trust to replicate our successes in improving the outcomes for young people.

Our vision is to inspire each and every student to achieve their potential through high-quality teaching, provided within an environment led by our Christian values. In July 2013 we were judged ‘outstanding’ in every category by Ofsted and we have continued to strive to be considered ‘outstanding within outstanding’.

All of these fantastic and exciting initiatives require the expertise and commitment of dedicated staff and Trinity Academy is currently looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor. The role of Cover Supervisor demands flexibility and initiative, as you will be required to supervise students to complete work during the absence of their usual teacher.

This is an ideal opportunity for candidates looking to start their career in teaching, or to build on previous teaching experience. Good organisation skills, flexibility and confidence in dealing with a classroom situation are essential.

You must be fully committed to optimising the opportunities that are available to children and young people, secure in the knowledge that you will be joining the flagship academy that sets the standards for the schools that are part of an ambitious and forward-thinking Academy Trust.

Start date:  as  soon as possible

Trinity Academy Halifax is the founding academy of Trinity Multi Academy Trust. It opened in 2010 and since that time has secured two Ofsted 'outstanding' judgements as well as being designated as a National Support School, a National Teaching School (leading the Trinity Institute of Education) and a Maths Hubs of Excellence (leading West Yorkshire Maths Hub).  In 2019 we were awarded the World Class Schools quality mark.

In 2012 the academy moved into a new building; the fantastic, state of the art facilities enable the academy to provide a world-class learning environment to nurture potential and prepare students for life.

Trinity Academy Halifax is consistently the highest performing school in Calderdale and its GCSE results have placed the school in the top 5% of similar schools nationally.

The academy places staff development and teaching and learning at the heart if all it does. Its innovative and unique CPD programme encourages inspirational teaching and learning and supports all teachers, whatever stage in their career, to develop their craft and progress professionally. Comprehensive pastoral systems are embedded to ensure the behaviour of students is consistently outstanding and they are happy and supported in their learning.

As an academy we have high expectations of staff, we expect staff to challenge our students and themselves. We set high standards and aim to display these in all that we do. Working for Trinity Academy Halifax is rewarding and we can offer a range of opportunities to progress. These ambitions are shared across all schools within the trust.
