We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and approachable person, with strong organisational and communication skills, to join our Associate Staff team. The successful applicant would work with the wider associate and teaching staff in school to work across the academy to cover lessons in the absence of teachers.
The successful applicant will have a minimum of a Level 3 qualification, 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English at Grade C or above as well as the ability to manage a classroom and apply the school’s behaviour policy. It would be an advantage if the candidate has experience of working in a school or with young people.
Good ICT skills are essential to this post and it is desirable that the candidate has an understanding of the potential for use of ICT for teaching and learning, including Interactive Whiteboard (IWB) and a range of Microsoft software experience.
Due to the nature of this post, the ability to plan, organise and communicate are essential. It is also expected that the post holder has the ability to relate to young people between the ages of 11 to16.
