Cover Supervisor

Required for January 2019

Actual Salary Range £12,031- £13,237

We are an oversubscribed and highly successful 11-16 school that strives for every student to be the best that they can be, both inside and outside of the classroom. We were judged as good in all areas at our recent Ofsted inspection (October 2017). We are part of a Multi Academy Trust, The Bradgate Education Partnership, which consists of 12 other local primary and secondary schools.

Governors wish to appoint a Cover Supervisor with drive, energy and enthusiasm who will assist in taking The Roundhill Academy forward with our school ethos, which is for all stakeholders to believe in themselves.

The successful candidate will engage with their local and the global community and aspire to achieve their full potential. We are convinced that by believing, engaging and achieving students will succeed at school and in their future lives.

Our school values are based around The 4R’s of Respect, Reflect, Resilience and Responsibility.

This role is for 30 hours per week, 8.20am - 3pm (lunch 1:20pm-2:00pm) Monday to Friday, 39 weeks per year.

Vision and values

The Roundhill Academy’s motto is "Achieving success through learning together". It seeks to provide a learning environment that suits every individual’s needs. Teachers want students to become lifelong learners who develop the skills, values, character and attributes necessary to become global citizens able to meet the demands and challenges of the 21st century.

The secondary school promotes four key values: reflect, respect, resilience and responsibility. It hopes to help pupils engage with their local and global community and reach their full potential.

The curriculum is broad and balanced, emphasising the core subjects of English, maths and science and matching them with the creativity of music, drama, art and design, and technology. Students also have classes in ICT, PE, humanities and languages.

Ofsted report

“Teaching across the school is typically good and sometimes outstanding. The very good relationships between teachers and students means that students are keen to try new things and respond enthusiastically to the opportunities they are given. Students work hard and listen carefully to their teachers.”
