Salary: Grade G, Point 19 -22 depending on experience, £13,582 pro rata (£19,446 FTE) - £14,719 pro rata (£21,074 FTE)
Hours: 30 hours per week (5 days per week, 8.45am – 3.15pm, the working day will include a 30-minute unpaid lunch break), 39 weeks per year, (term time + 5 INSET training days).
Prince William School requires a Cover Supervisor to supervise classes for absent teaching staff. When not needed to cover absent colleagues, they may be required to do other tasks such as intervention work with small groups of students withdrawn from a class. The successful candidate will be resilient and resourceful, understand how to manage teenage behaviours, and be able to ‘think on their feet’.
Many staff use the experience of working as a cover supervisor as a stepping stone into teaching or other related fields of work involving working with young people.
Experience of working with young people is desirable, as is experience of working in a school environment. Experience of leading a class of children is not required as training will be provided.
