As a Cover Supervisor you will work under the guidance of teaching staff and with an agreed system of supervision, to implement work programmes with individual and groups in and out of the classroom. This role includes supervision of whole classes during short term absence of teachers.

You will need to be:

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Experienced in working with young people, especially ages 11-19
  • Adaptable, flexible, confident and calm under pressure
  • Confident with behaviour management skills
  • Well organised
  • Committed to professional development
  • Committed to education and teaching

In return we can offer you:

The successful candidate will benefit from:

• Full support and induction

• A strong and caring ethos among staff and students

Excellent CPD opportunities

• Networking opportunities across the Diverse Academies

• Salary sacrifice schemes

• Local Government Pension Scheme

If your values and ambitions match ours and you want to support our children to reach their goals we would love to hear from you by completing the online application.

Visits to the academy are encouraged and welcome. Please contact Lbaum@holgate-ac.org.uk.

Diverse Academies and its Governors are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in their care and expects everybody working for the organisation to share this commitment. Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy. To this end any offer of employment will be subject to safer recruitment checks and clearances.

Closing Date: 11 December 2022

Start Date: Mid January 2023

Please note we reserve the right to close the post early once we have received a sufficient number of applicants, so we advise you to submit your application early to prevent disappointment.
