Permanent Position

34.5 hours per week, term-time only plus 5 INSET days                                                Mon – Thurs; 8:20am – 4:10pm, Fri; 8:20am – 3:40pm (50 minutes break each day)

Salary Grade 7: £20,661 - £22,658 pro rata, per annum                                             Actual Annual Gross Salary: £16,686 - £18,299

Start Date: November 2017

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hard working colleague who will divide their time between supervising lessons during periods of staff absence, providing other support for subject departments and providing extra-curricular opportunities for students (dependent on the interests of the appointed candidate). They will have the ability to contribute to a team and a genuine liking for working with people of all ages. Experience of working with secondary age children is preferred, but training will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity; especially for candidates considering a teaching career, as many of our past cover supervisors have gone on to complete their teacher training.  Should you wish to be part of our future we welcome your application.

The Cherwell School is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in Oxford. It is an academy converter supported by a multi-academy trust called River Learning Trust. The school provides 1,990 places for students between the ages of 11 and 18 when fully subscribed.

The Cherwell School became an 11-18 school after a reorganisation in 2003 and it converted to academy status in April 2012.
