Fulwood Academy opened on 1st September 2009 replacing Fulwood High School and Arts College, an established and successful 11-16 Secondary School situated in North Preston. In June 2023 Ofsted rated Fulwood Academy as "Good" in all areas, in the report they said:

  • Leaders have established an inclusive culture at the school where every pupil is valued.
  • Pupils are calm, polite and they benefit from the positive relationships that they have with staff.
  • Staff value the support they receive from leaders. They are proud to be part of the school.

The Academy’s sponsor is Charles Dunstone, founder of Carphone Warehouse. His support for the Academy will ensure that pupils and staff benefit from ‘cutting edge’ technology to support learning. His vision for the Academy is outlined in the enclosed prospectus and documentation.
