Grade D – Salary Points 9 – 11

Actual Salary £20,127 – £20,874 per annum (£23,194 - £24,054 per annum full time equivalent)

Term Time Only plus 5 days - 37 hours per week 

Nunthorpe Academy is a very popular 11-19 comprehensive converter Academy with approximately 1550 students on roll - judged to be GOOD by OFSTED.

• Do you have a passion for the education of students?

• Do you possess excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills with equally excellent multi-tasking abilities?

• Are you proactive and committed with a meticulous attention to detail, and a strong work ethic?

• Do you possess GCSE (or equivalent) grade B in Mathematics, Science and English?

The successful candidate will:

• Assist the academy in delivering high quality learning to Nunthorpe students under the direction of the Academy Day Manager.

• Supervise whole classes during teacher absence, following lesson plans/cover work and resources set and provided by the relevant subject specialist. 

• Cover lessons of any subject, set high expectations to motivate and challenge students whilst managing behaviour effectively, promoting a positive learning environment. 

• In periods where cover is not required the successful candidate will support in the classroom as directed the relevant Head Of Department.

• Support the academy behaviour for learning by supervising whole academy detentions at the end of each day, completing one to one or small group interventions where required.
