Cover Supervisor

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic colleague to complement the teaching staff and to cover occasional short term absences within the school.  With the guidance of teachers, the successful applicant will supervise classes in carrying out the work they have been set and assist and motivate students in their learning.   

The Westgate School is an oversubscribed and successful school to the west of Slough.    This is an exciting time to join us as our new buildings and expanding student numbers will bring new opportunities for us all. You should ideally be educated to at least A Level, with a high level of literacy and numeracy skills.  You need to be an excellent communicator, have sound organisational skills and be able to work confidently using your own initiative.   While previous experience is not essential, knowledge of behaviour management strategies and how to motivate young people would be advantageous.   The ideal candidate would have experience of working with young people either in a voluntary or employed capacity.

This position is term time only + 5 INSET days per annum (39 weeks)
