This is an exciting opportunity for a well-organised, calm and reliable individual to join our teaching support team.

The Cover Supervisor will support the Senior Teacher responsible for cover to ensure the smooth and efficient running of lessons. The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Supervise whole classes during the absence of teachers;
  • Give instructions for the lessons as provided by a teacher, with the primary focus being to maintain good order and to keep students on task;
  • Respond to general questions and provide general feedback to teachers, although the postholder will not be required to undertake planning, preparation, assessment, recording or reporting of achievement, progress and development;
  • Complete any other reasonable related tasks that may be needed.
