Hours: 08.00 – 17.00 Monday to Friday, 200 days per year

Compass School Southwark is looking for a cover supervisor to join us in September, to ensure that we can provide a seamless educational experience to all students, at all times. 

This is a respected role, and the post holder will be expected to role model effective behaviour management, support the high expectations culture within the school, and ensure consistency of the teaching and learning experience on a day-to-day basis in the absence of subject teachers. There will also be an aspect of intervention support to individuals or groups of students, when required, and in conjunction with classroom teachers and subject leaders.

The appointed person will be highly adaptable, as every day is different, and be able to grasp the subject specific skills and knowledge across of a wide range of subjects. The post holder will be a successful communicator and be able to build positive relationship with colleagues, and be able to manage their own time effectively.

This role would suit an experienced teacher (qualified or unqualified) who is looking to excel as a classroom practitioner, while exploring a range of different subjects and without needing a commitment to a specific subject. There is the opportunity for outstanding candidates to be considered for permanent teaching roles in the future.
