Job overview
St Columba’s College has just undergone a successful ISI Inspection in which all areas of the school were assessed to be excellent with the following a specific outcome “the quality of students’ academic and other achievements is excellent”. We now seek to appoint a Cover Supervisor on a one-year fixed term contract. This is an important role within the school to ensure that our high expectations of teaching, learning and behaviour are maintained at all times.
The successful candidate will be outgoing, confident and supportive, with good interpersonal skills. The ability to form positive relationships with young people and excellent classroom management skills are essential. Training will be provided, however, successful candidates must have a good level of education, preferably to degree standard, or a track record of working with young people in educational or sporting settings. This post would be particularly suitable for a recent graduate or someone considering a career in teaching or wishing to gain experience prior to training as a teacher.
