Salary: Scale 5 £16,805 - £18,554 (actual salary to reflect hours and weeks worked)

Contract: 32.5 hours per week, Fixed Term Contract until 31stAugust 2023, Term Time Only

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hard-working and flexible cover supervisor to lead the provision of cover in lessons across the School. The position would suit a candidate with relevant experience or a graduate considering a career in teaching.

You will supervise classes across Key Stage 3 and 4, during the short-term absence of the assigned teacher, taking the register and delivering set work, ensuring pupil understanding of the tasks, which have been set. You will also need to manage student’s behaviour in line with the schools behaviour policy, ensuring that students are on task. 

The successful candidate for this post:

• will cover lessons in a wide variety of different subjects, ensuring that students learn in the absence of classroom teachers within the Trust

• will be flexible and resourceful

• has excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills

• has a positive, ‘can do’ attitude with colleagues and students

• believes in the right of every student to fulfil their potential
