We are looking to grow our Cover Team in recruiting a dynamic Cover Supervisor to join an established team to cover all aspects of the academy community and to support access to learning for students and inspire students aged 11 – 16 to achieve their full potential and continue their enjoyment of school.

Stockport Academy opened in September 2007 and moved into a new state of the art building in 2008.
Stockport Academy strives for excellence across its curriculum. We teach a broad and balanced range of subjects including all the key areas of the National Curriculum. Students receive an all round education and are encouraged to pay particular attention to the core skills of English, Mathematics, Science and ICT.

All academies have a specialism. At Stockport Academy, this is science supported by a theme of business and enterprise. This specialism reflects the needs and interests of our students and the employment prospects in the area.

A full grounding in business and enterprise ensures that students are prepared for the working world.  The Science element of the specialism will include all the traditional areas of the subject as well as more vocational ones, such as Health and Social Care and Sports Science.
