Salary Range:  Surrey Pay Level 6 £17,765 - £19,583 actual (£24,780 to £27,317 full time equivalent)

Woking High School is a high achieving school with Academy status. We have an outstanding team of staff committed to developing our students as individuals. All students are challenged to achieve their best. The Ofsted inspection of December 2019, which judged the school to be good, noted that, ‘Pupils say that the school feels like a family.  The curriculum is ambitious and well designed, with strong academic and vocational elements’’.

We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor who is enthusiastic, confident and well organised with excellent communication skills.  The successful applicant will ideally need to have some experience of working with young people, preferably in secondary education.   However, we would also welcome applications from graduate applicants who are interested in developing a career in teaching.  The post involves facilitating the work set for students by their usual class teacher, when that teacher is absent.  This is not a teaching position but the Cover Supervisor is expected to ensure students remain on task and complete their work.

In return, Woking High School offers excellent benefits to staff including:

- 26 Days Holiday (rising to 30 days after 5 years).

- Local Government Pension Scheme.

- Continuous Professional Development.

- Cycle to Work Scheme.

- Healthcare Cash Back Plan.

Application packs can be downloaded from our website .

Closing date for applications: Monday 6th December, 2021

Woking High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.

Woking High School is committed to providing all staff with continued professional development to support and develop them in their careers.
