Grade 5, Actual Salary £15,353 - £16,611 

37 hours per week, Mon-Fri (term time only)  

The Pingle Academy lies at the heart of the National Forest area for students aged 11-19 years. We benefit from a wide range of specialist facilities, which include extensive provision for sports, a well-equipped performing arts centre, a learning support base, two autism resource centres and a purpose built sixth form centre.     

We are looking to appoint a keen and enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of cover supervisor.  The successful applicant will need to be a confident, well-organised, positive person who is able to provide continuity in the classroom covering short-term teaching staff absence, along with pastoral skills in order to be able to support the Progress Leaders, when not required in the classroom.  Good levels of literacy and numeracy are essential, together with good communication skills.    

Salary will be paid on APT & C scale 5 pts 16-20.  Pro-rata salary equates to £15,353 to £16,611 for 37 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.  Normal hours of work are 07:30 – 15:40, Monday – Thursday and 07:30 – 15:10, Friday (inclusive of a 40 minute, unpaid lunch break, to be taken during the Academy’s lunch period)
