Handcross Park in West Sussex is a Brighton College School offering a first class, all-round education to boys and girls up to the age of 13, with weekly and full boarding from the age of 7. Our recent ISI inspection gave the School top rating in every area.

Situated in the village of Handcross, adjacent to the M23, the School is 20 minutes from Brighton and 15 minutes from Horsham and Gatwick.  The School attracts day children from surrounding towns including Haywards Heath, Horsham and Crawley and neighbouring villages.  Boarders include children from London (weekly boarders) and a wide international community.

With excellent, inspiring teaching, we provide a broad and innovative education whilst focusing on traditional values such as kindness, good manners and mutual respect.  We ensure that each child reaches his or her own individual potential, both in and out of the classroom. Our Ten Core Themes support every aspect of School life.

Our purpose-built Nursery and Pre-Prep is located within an old walled garden and offers a safe and inspiring environment with an extended outdoor play area and access to the Forest School.  Children may enter our Nursery at the age of 2 and move onto the Prep School at the age of 7.

Most children progress through the School from Nursery and Reception but additional places do become available at Year 3, the beginning of the Prep School. Further places are also made available at Year 5 and there is an additional class at Year 7.

The Prep School has excellent facilities enabling teaching staff to broaden every aspect of a child’s education and these include an IT suite, a science lab, a music school, a large sports hall, a DT workshop, an art studio, an outdoor classroom, an indoor swimming pool and extensive sports fields.  There is also a full after school activities programme.

Our excellent Common Entrance record and outstanding scholarship results (Academic, Sport, Music and Drama) are testament to the teaching we provide, preparing our children for Brighton College and other top senior schools.

Our refurbished Boarding House is situated in the main school building and currently has beds for around 50 boys and girls from the age of 7.  With both weekly and full boarding available, the boarding community is a vibrant one.
