ABC Teachers have been asked to recruit for a loyal secondary school in Wolverhampton to help them find an innovative, reliable and charismatic Cover Supervisor. This role will start ASAP for the right person.
What is a cover supervisor?
The role of a cover supervisor is that you will be given a pre-set lesson plan each day to deliver to classes of 28-30 students across the key stages. The lessons you cover will change each day you work. You could be covering English in the morning and then Humanities in the afternoon and then Science all day the following day.
You will not be expected to plan the lessons or mark the work. All lessons plans will all be pre-set by the class teacher/department
All of our cover supervisors are working everyday that they are free at the moment. The beauty of being a cover supervisor is that you can be as flexible as you want to be. If one week you only want to work two days and the next week you want to work five days we will make sure we get you out working on the days YOU want to work.
What qualifications do I need?
Typically a Cover Supervisor will have a degree, but we ask for you to have 20 days or more experience working with groups of children. This doesn’t necessarily have to of been in a school setting.
This can be:
Camp America or equivalent
The start times will be from 8:30am/3:00-3:30pm each day (We can also offer half days). The rate of pay for a cover supervisor is £60 - £70.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. All staff will hold an enhanced DBS disclosure (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you), need to provide professional or academic references and attend a face to face interview. A prohibition from teaching check will be completed for all applicants.
