Salary: LBR 5 points 22-25 (£22 506 - £24 510) pro rata (Actual Salary £ 19 104 - £ 20 806)   

Weeks Per year: To work 39 weeks - Term Time only (Paid 44.26 weeks per year) 

Hours Per week: 36 hours per week

If so, the Governing Body is looking to appoint enthusiastic, motivated and flexible graduates for the above positions which involve covering lessons for absent Teaching staff and is an excellent way to gain classroom experience for anyone with an interest in becoming a fully qualified teacher in the future.

Key Responsibilities 

· Covering registrations and lessons with pre-prepared materials for absent teaching staff.

· Managing student behaviour, dealing with issues according to school policies and procedures. 

· Keeping and updating records as agreed with class teachers and supervision of students on school trips.

· At times the role will involve running intervention groups or classroom support.

· We also encourage supervisors to take an active role in other areas of the school such as running extracurricular clubs or sport fixtures.  

The ideal candidates will have 

· Excellent Numeracy, literacy, ICT and communication skills, with a GCSE grade C or above in English and Mathematics 

· Previous experience of working in a school

· A willingness to undertake First Aid training 

· A firm but non-confrontational approach towards discipline

·  A flexible approach
