Job overview

We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic teachers with experience of KS4/KS5 education to join our team as a Supply teacher at LSA. The teacher will primarily be utilised when staff are absent and cover is needed for the lesson

Role Responsibilities 

  • Cultivate LSA’s Vision and embed its Values across every aspect of the school
  • Work closely with the Cover Supervisor and Teachers to teach the curriculum including schemes of work and assessment materials
  • Take on additional responsibilities where necessary including duty, masterclass and screening supervision
  • Deliver the cover lesson and ensure students are on task
  • Ensure the register is taken for the lesson being covered.
  • Write a short report at the end of each lesson to the teacher whose lesson was being covered, outlining the progress that was made. 
  • Take an honest and open approach to teaching practice and welcome opportunities for feedback and development
  • Safeguard the wellbeing of all students
  • Have a DBS on Update service (Criminal records check) or be willing to complete one and be willing to undertake other Safer Recruitment and safeguarding checks

Job Type:                    Full-time, Contract

Working Hours:       09:00 - 16:30 

Salary:            £125 - £150 per day (dependant on experience)
