We seek applications from well-qualified cover teachers to join our happy and successful independent day school.
We welcome applications from enthusiastic and motivated practitioners who are able to teach within the primary age range (Years R-6) to join our dedicated and professional teaching team.

Founded in 1732, The Portsmouth Grammar School (PGS) is a co-educational independent day school for pupils aged 2½ - 18 years, situated in the heart of Portsmouth, Hampshire. This thriving school is just a stone’s throw from the Solent and comprises of a Pre-School, Junior School, Senior School and Sixth Form, providing the very best education to 1,348 pupils.

ISI Report 2022
During an ISI Inspection in late 2022 both the achievement of the pupils, including their academic development and the personal development of the pupils were found to be excellent - the highest possible classification. The Inspection also looked at the School’s compliance with the regulatory standards and requirements. PGS met all the standards required.
