Directly responsible to: Assistant Principal Quality & Student Services
Following an organisation restructuring this is a new post and will provide an exciting career development opportunity for an experienced and outstanding tutor passionate about adult learning. You will be a positive and highly motivated individual with excellent communication and presentation skills committed to developing the success and wellbeing of others.
You will join a thriving service focussed on learner success. The CPD and Teaching & Learning Adviser will be responsible for supporting teaching staff individually, in teams and cross service to inspire and achieve consistently very good and outstanding learning, teaching and assessment practice. You will lead on the development of e-learning and the use of learning technologies and ensure CPD supports tutor development needs.
You will promote innovation, stimulate experimentation of new learning strategies including engaging students in their own learning. You will work alongside tutors to support the innovative use of new technologies, the embedding of maths and English, the promotion of British Values and the development of employability skills.
You will report to the Assistant Principal Quality & Student Services supporting them in the effective implementation of quality improvement systems and identification of staff needs, developing and delivering a flexible, responsive programme of CPD.
- Minimum of a degree or professional qualification/subject specialist qualification at level 3 or 4; a recognised full teaching qualification
- Proven ability in delivering outstanding learning, teaching and assessment practice and using e-learning & smart technologies
- Sound experience of supporting teachers to improve practice and deliver consistently good and outstanding learning, teaching and assessment.
The role is part-time. You will work 18 hours flexibly across the week. For the right candidate there is potential to combine this role with a teaching commitment for those seeking a larger fraction or full time post. The salary for this post is £13,000 per annum.
