CREATIVE AND MEDIA ARTS TECHNICIAN

1517 hours per annum. Term time plus the equivalent of 2 additional weeks

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a talented, dynamic and motivated technician to join our Creative Arts team. Do you have the knowledge, experience and enthusiasm that we are looking for? If yes, then we want to hear from you!

As a member of the College’s support staff, you will provide an efficient, effective, responsive and high quality service to the College community. You will maintain and develop the highest standards of technical support for the Art, Drama, Music and Performing Arts departments. This varied role will involve setting up College theatre productions, presentations for assemblies, installing sound, video and lighting for College and external events, recording audio and visual for College productions and student examinations. You will work with a wide range of equipment such as sound and lighting desks, cameras, microphones, projectors and sound and image editing software.

You will have high expectations of student achievement and behaviour, good communication skills and a commitment to working as part of a team. 

Newton Abbot College (“Good” OFSTED March 2014) has undergone rapid change, including significant improvement to examination results at Key Stage 4 and 5.
