United Learning

The John Roan School is part of United Learning, a large, and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England.

Our schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our subject specialists, our Group-wide intranet, our own curriculum and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resource, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance.

As a Group, we can reward our staff better: with good career opportunities, better pay, benefits, and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed. We invest in our staff wellbeing. It's an ethos we call ‘the best in everyone’.

The Role:

To work in partnership with class teachers, as directed, to support learning in line with the national curriculum, codes of practice and academy policies and procedures. To provide technical and administrative support, practical assistance and advice where required to staff and students of the Academy working flexibly across the Design department. To support the teaching and learning of Product Design, in particular, by preparing practical activities within safety guidelines. To check, prepare and set up equipment, materials and machinery as required. To order and prepare resources.

About You

Are you an organised and methodical individual who works effectively under pressure? Do you have excellent Microsoft Office skills with experience of working busy environment?

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. References will automatically be requested for all shortlisted applicants prior to interview. The successful applicant will be required to be DBS and safeguarding checks prior to taking up post.
