Hours: 7.25 hours, 1 day per week (Excluding Friday, day can be agreed), Term Time plus 4 weeks.

Contract: 1 year temp contract.

Location: Any venues across the academic year.

A vacancy has recently arisen for an Arts Therapist to work for 1 day per week at Orchard Hill College.  Students follow a personalised programme, supported by specialist personal tutors, therapists and nurses, including work and community-based learning opportunities that reflect student aspirations.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated arts therapist who will work collaboratively with other therapists and teaching staff at the College, with the aim of providing a holistic therapeutic approach to their work with students.

The Arts Therapies are part of an integrated, multi-disciplinary team at College, including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Speech and Language Therapists.

You will have an MA or equivalent qualification in one of the Arts Therapy disciplines with UK HCPC Registration, and a degree in a relevant field. You will ideally have 2 years’ post qualification experience, including experience of working with students who have severe/profound and multiple learning disabilities as well as ASD. The scope of the clinical work offered would include clinical assessment of new students as well as managing a caseload of ongoing 1:1 and group work. It is essential that you can work autonomously in this role.  Clinical supervision is either partly or wholly funded by the College.

Your caseload will be initially based in College centres located in Camberwell / Carshalton, although you may be expected to work at any of the College venues.
