We are looking for a Cross Campus Director of Chaplaincy who is an articulate speaker with presence and the ability to present, credibly and enthusiastically, the challenges of the Gospel. They will be confident in leading large and small, formal and informal groups of pupils and adults. Having a good sense of the Church’s liturgy, they will be able to recruit and enthuse large numbers of students to take part in school worship. The role will provide pastoral care for all students and staff and ensure that the chaplaincy succeeds in its aims as set out in ‘A Model for School Chaplaincy’ derived from ‘Characteristics of a Jesuit Education’.

Mount St Mary’s College is an HMC independent day and boarding school for boys and girls, including A-Level studies. Our Preparatory School, Barlborough Hall is a day school and includes a Nursery provision. Following our most recent ISI inspection in October 2023, it was noted 'EYFS is effectively managed and the individual needs and abilities of the children are met in all areas of development.'

We are a special community with a proud history and a bright future, located in rural Derbyshire near Sheffield and Chesterfield. We offer 250 acres of picturesque grounds and a blend of traditional and modern facilities.

The recent ISI Inspection at Mount St Mary's College found that 'pupils feel safe in school' and there is a 'culture of vigilance which promotes the safeguarding and welfare of pupils.'
